In 2018 Jo Morgan was swept away in an avalanche while climbing Mt Hicks. She had to dig for her life. Forty-five minutes later she broke free only to discover her two climbing guides were dead.
In the following year, Morgan was determined to carry the ashes of her guide and friend Wolfgang Maier to the summits of Torres Peak and Mt Hicks. These two mountains were the last in her and Maier's quest to climb all 3000-metre peaks in New Zealand's Southern Alps.

The Social Climber is filmed, photographed and designed by Mike as he follows Jo on her journey to scale these final mountains and see how she returned to climbing and overcoming the tragic avalanche.
